Susan “SK” Mabry – Art of SK Mabry, LLC

Art types:
Acrylic, oils, paper sculpture, clay, design, fashion…
Bio:
Susan “SK” Mabry is an eclectic contemporary artist residing in Port Huron, Michigan. She is best known as the pioneer of “Shiftism,” a distinctive, impressionistic style of fine art characterized by an emphasis on texture and movement without the use of traditional brushes.
Artistic Style & Philosophy
Mabry’s signature technique involves painting with select pieces of broken glass and pottery. She allows the objects to carry their own shared narratives, blending elements of expressionism and impressionism into multidimensional contemporary pieces. Her aesthetic draws inspiration from major art history touchstones, including the works of Pablo Picasso. Everything is constantly shifting; no two humans can experience anything exactly the same; and nothing can be experienced exactly the same way twice.
Career & Recognition
Mabry is highly active in the Michigan art community, maintaining a presence in the International Society of Professional Artists, The Blue Water Art Association, and The St. Clair Art Association. Art on the River (2025): Citizens for a Vibrant Community and The Community Foundation selected Mabry as the Featured Artist for the 2025 Art on the River festival, celebrating her innovative use of unconventional mediums.
The Dovecote Art & Curiosity Shop at 1806 Pine Grove Avenue in Port Huron, Michigan is both a retail space for unique vintage finds and the location of Mabry’s personal art gallery and studio.

I create a multitude of different art.
Bio:
My name is Bobette. I am a self taught multi media artist.
I enjoy traveling, camping, rock hounding and collecting
driftwood, among other things. I find nature to be my favorite muse.
I spend hours in my studio and lose track of time.
I got off medications via cannabis, after 7 back surgeries and permanent nerve damage. Being off medication and only cannabis, in turn, geared up my creativity.
I belong to the St. Clair Art Association, the AMMA, and the Stoney Crafters.
